Id think you would save a lot of problems by using deep blue's frags tank there really inexpensive and come reef ready with plumbing. and come 12inches high which gives you a lot of play when growing out certain corals.

U can't compare the two price wise. Tray is 48x24x7 for $50 or $60.

Have you looked into how much shipping is going to cost? I know several people who have used these and most end up going back to standard tanks. It is easier to observe the corals, clean and plumb. So while I think it would certainly work if you are looking at this from an investment standpoint is it worth it to save a little up front considering the value of the corals.

I found a store in brooklyn so no shipping cost. Why would Ppl go back to standard tanks? I want it as a top down/look down tank.

Ive seen ppl use these also but there nowhere near as sturdy and get me a lil nervous. Its Def not for display just a grow out tank in my bsmt.
I like the deep blue tanks but it's like $300 vs $60.
