I have just noticed ick cysts on my clown fish.
The wierd thing about this is I havent added any new fish to my tank for over six months. Actually i my tank has been pretty much a closed system for about six months. The only thing i have added was some corals from the swap last week - and i was very careful not to include any water when transfering them. I guess i must have been unlucky and got a substrate bound cyst attached to the live rock. Still a major pain in the arse as i was planning on shutting down one of my tanks on the weekend, but now i need to wait until the remaining tank has gone through its ick cycle.

that sucks Aaron, sorry you have to go through that.

the same thing happened to me when I first set up my tank.
I added corals from an ich infested tank and my fish got ich.

it's another tough lesson to QT everything you get. :(

i just went through a bout with ich it kill all my fish except my Gold stripe maroon clown. The tank has been fallow for approx 6 weeks, can't wait to restock. Good luck on eradicating the Ich.
