I am going to go SSB on my 180 that I am currently setting up. Is there anything I should be aware of to make it successful? I will use the seafloor special grade reef sand to cover the bottom of the tank maybe an 1" or 2" these sand grains are much larger than the oolitic sand. the main reason for selecting this sand is so that I wont have a sand storm due to flow.
For Flow I will have
1 reeflo snapper on 2 X 3/4" sea swirls (returns from sump)
1 tunze 6100, 1 tunze 6200
Do you guys think this will be enough flow? I will have about 200 LB of base rock and maybe 50 of LR.
Thanks.
