Couldn't find the color card to test pH but used Salifert for all but PO4 which was Martini colorimeter. Will try and grab another sample later in the week to compare.

The calcium and alkalinity were low, it's interesting to compare the ocean to the hobby and see different results from separate states.

I'm actually traveling for a month on a trip throughout asia leaving in a couple months will be testing water from multiple places bringing a par meter and am also going to be diving in multiple places and sending back *true hand picked corals* will be documenting the entire thing think you might be interested i will be posting my itinerary before i leave

I'm bringing my testing to Cairns, I leave in two weeks.
Wife thinks diving the barrier reed is vacation....hahaha......little does she know it's research.

Im out in Puerto Rico and i forgot to pack the test kits. Smh
If i bring a sample (dnt know how yet) of the reef waters would the result change??
I can get them tomorrow afternoon and my plane leaves at 430am.

Actually it would be interesting to compare the readings to what scientists have come up with, that way we could get an idea of how close the test kits that we use are.

So I went snorkeling yesterday in Cancun Mexico and collected some water from around the Reef we snorkled and also from the beach from the resort we stayed at in the Rivera Miya area of Cancun and here are the results
