i used latex rustoleum in black u can get it in blue to... use a 4" sponge roller apply 6-7 layers and it looks awesome....
this is the best option in my opinion.. if you go with the spray paint i hope you do it outside the house. made that mistake after laying down brand new maple floors in my house and put a drop clothe and it still managed to drift all over the room. it looked good though but the rollon is just neater to apply

thks guys,
Never thought about window tint, Cool idea.
I was trying to stay away from spray painting it.
I think I will look into both the tint and rolling it on.
thks again.

Hi West, I used rustoleum royal blue. I rolled it on with the "ROLLERLite" rollers. They are 6-1/2" very thin, the paint goes on very smooth. I gave mine 2 to 3 coats. To me it looks great. By the way, the handle that is sold for them is a long handle so it was pretty easy to get in between the wall and tank when I painted the old one. The latest I painted before it came in the house. Both came out really nice. No brush stroke marks.
I picked mine up at HomeDepot.
Best of wishes,
Awilda

I spray painted mine. If you can get outside to do the painting it is much easier than using a roller.

If you do use a roller, you can place the roller in a ziplock bag between coats without having to clean it. I You can leave the roller in the bag for at least a week between coats if not longer. painted the interior of my house this way. I used five different colors when painting, and had five rollers all lined up neatly in ziplock bags on the table in my basement.

Line the pan with tin foil, so you can just throw that out as well.
