People have different reactions to getting stung by fish with venomous spines, some just have burning pain while others have bad allergy reactions they can require them to be taken to the hospital. The same can happen from coral or invert stings or bits. So you do need to be very careful when placing your hand in a tank, which unfortunately most of us don't do.

I saw a guy get stung by a lionfish at a store I worked at. The spine went into his upper hand and when he pulled his hand out the fish was actually lifted up out of the water a bit. He went to the hospital immediately. When he was released 4 hours later he came back to the store and his hand looked like a catcher's mit. It was rediculously large and swollen. He didnt return to work for the week and complained about a deep burning sensation for several days.

Jackson doesn't have a rabbit fish does he?

Nah he probably would have posted from the hospital.
"Oh man I got stung, check the pics"

That was my first thought.... who lives in rockaway?

But the article said the "victim" was 19,.... I don't think Jackson is 19.

I never put my hands in the tank without gloves ever since i got the foxface. They are elbow length. Just have to be careful boys and girls!
