What's your mag level and is it stable unstable mag will make the others unstable also and the alk swings that you posted are most likely the reason for you loosing your sps.

The margin of error is higher on calcium tests. Alk is a good way to gauge. I dose an unbalanced amount but it's not off by much. Either way go you can by your ak for now.

I thought both get used in equal proportions so curious why they would ever change by different amounts

Mg has been OK
between 1240 and 1320 over the last month having tested 4 times (went up as I had added BRS mag mix)

Well going by my tank that mag swing is problems

Not so much. He said he dosed so that explains it. A month ago went from 1200 to 1500 in a weeks time to eliminate some bryopsis, with no ill effects whatsoever. Could make alk go down a lil, that's about it, and have found keeping it at around 1300 keeps cal stable, but not a coral killer
