someone told me to check my Nano streams ....I just check them and this is what i found .Rust on the impeller :irked: i was wondering why things wherent doing as well ,until my friend told me to check them .

I called my suppliers and im going to send my streams back to tunze.I want ppl to please check their streams and see if they are having the same problem ,as for the 2 members that bought streams from me ,please contact me if youre having the same issue.

Here is what you should be looking for ,take off the cover of the pump and pull out the impeller ,look on the back behind the magnet

Ronen you need to use your flash to show the issue correctly. Looks to me like the whole freaking picture is rusted.

And here i was telling people they were in stock, i wonder if that is an isolated incident or not, i'll go read to tunze forum to see.

Run some poly or something.

The metal shafts are manufactured and something went wrong in making them producing shafts that were supposed to be rust proof not rust proof. I feel bad for tunze. Its going to be alot of send backs.

The JBJ pumps on the 24g that came stock rusted on me after 4 months. Checked it after i read something on the nano forums about it and was wondering why my pump wasn't working that well.

Just checked mine Ronen. It's rusted alright!

I had just cleaned it about a week ago and did not notice rust. When I just took it apart, it looked better then yours'. But, when I pulled the shaft up, it had rust on it. The first time I cleaned, I didn't realize you can pull that shaft out, so I didn't notice it then.

ETA; I guess this is why it would not start up right away after cleaning it.

I'm glad I'm waiting for the new delivery batch which, I hope, will be the "version 1.1" with fixes in place. I'm really surprised that a company like Tunze got nailed with these production problems in the first batch. They're not the kind of company to turn something loose until QC is fully addressed (well, I thought so, anyway).
