I don't think it's eating the acro, I thought they grabbed food from the water column.

Is that in the display tank Jason?

I know what I'm taking photos of next ;) that's amazing looking.

It does look like it's feeding from the water column.....can't you see the legs curling up? That's what they look like when they feed (of course not on the acro), at least that's what mine looks like! Looks nice and healthy, how long have you had it? My black and white crinoid passed the 5 month mark last week.

It only comes out to feed there in the evening when I feed it (it filter feeds). Talking of photos, Jonathan...:snail:

We're feeding oyster eggs, Ultra Min, Ultra Clam, Ultra Sea fan, cylopeeze mixed in Ultra MinS. It's early days yet (3 weeks). A couple of other things seem to elicit a feeding response too.

Cool. Maybe we finally have diverse and improved food substitutes to make these creatures feasible. Still, I want to caution everyone before they go out and order one, that these are VERY demanding ( notice how many different things both Jason and Scumonkey are feeding) animals that have a VERY poor track record in captivity and have rarely if ever lasted past a year.

Sorry, you're absolutely right Randy, not wanting any one to get the wrong end of the stick, I do want to clarify that we are in a lucky position to try out some different foods designed for filter feeders. Will keep you updated of any success/failure, for sure.
