Hi,

Well, The color is back to normal, but still little sore and swollen. I emailed my doctor which is a toxicologist and he said to soak it is warn salt water every three hours,he said come in Tuesday if it didnt get better fast, he brought up some kind of alergic bacterial infection, Mycobacterium marinum , which he said could be tough to get rid of,so he wants to see it anyway in a couple of weeks, even if it keep gettting better. It put a hold on setting up the 180.

Nice finger Eesmithy,

Whatever that crab is it sounds like a Mythrax crab, and only one Mythrax is suitable, and only because of desireable attributes such as dealing with Valona, is an emerald crab. (they are still omnivorous though)

Check to see if your crab has little red elbows on the inside of its arms. If it does then he's an emerald, and you could keep it if you want. If not then get it out ASAP before it kills fish or corals for lunch.
