Do you agree that there should be no limits on fish collection since there is a limitless supply?

Hey Rover, how much is membership in your new society?

How come nobody wants to be a proud member of the "common sense" society?

All this is going to drive me to be a proud member of the pub drunk society.

Please pardon me if you read the following on a thread in the Propaganda Forum.

This does apply to this thread though whether we are discussing wild collection of Coral or Fish.

The following information is from the World Resource Institute and is published in the Jan 2002 edition of Dive Training

In less tha 20 years, the world has lost more than 25% of coral reefs. More than 80 million acres.

Of the remaining coral reefs 58% are in immenent danger. A number that rises to an astounding 80% when looking at Asia reefs alone.

Recently in an on-line discussion of th future of Coral Reefs, many of the world's top reef scientists predicted that coral reefs, as we know them, will be functionally extinct by the middle of this century.

Some how I am thinking our reefs are not a sustainable resource for wild harvesting.

I am in no way saying this is due to just our hobby, but wild harvesting is not helping either.
