Oh, thanks for reminding me Newkie :) Shot with Fujifilm S1 Pro DSLR with Nikon 60mm Micro (macro) lens and B+W UV filter. No flash used (ambient light only). Tripod mounted with remote shutter release.

I've got other more "normal" photos to share if anyone is interested, but not in this thread since I don't want to abuse our dial up friends.

Lobophyllia. except now with much more intense coloration under the new lights (and shot without flash helps keep it saturated)

I'm big on photography nowadays, so I can justify a DSLR. But if you're just a casual photographer or primarily interested in aquarium photography, there are plenty of really good prosumer cameras instead of shelling out thousands for a SLR camera (plus lens and accessories). I've always been fond of the Canon G2 (now G3). Nikon cameras take excellent macros as well.
