Evening folks, went downstairs to turn off all lights not on a timer and I got shocked when I put my hands in the water to upright a gorg which was blown over. I get shocked (been done too many times to count, but this one was def up there with some of the most uncomfortable ones) and the gfcis do not trip.
Naturally I put my hand back in the water to make sure I was not imagining it. I get shocked again. So now I get my little tester and check the water and I get readings anywhere from nothing to spiking to 40 volts sometimes but most times staying around 20. So now I go to each gfci and trip it and test, each time I still get a reading. So now I turn them all off at one time so, as far as I thought, there should be no power going to my tanks and I test and still get a bouncing reading now from zero to 20. Since the stereo is on in the garage (on a seperate line already exsisting in the house, not connected anyway to my tanks) everytime it gets up to round 20 or so I hear interference on the radio.
Anyone have any clues?
