There's a guy who posted some pics of his 10,000 gallon reef under construction - don't know what happened. Can't even imagine having a day job or a family and maintaining that thing! Mine is about 500g and I can't even remember if I have a wife or child in this house.

oh id love to hear--- actually one time long ago I read a post on another board somewhere where a guys said he'd successfully kept a tiny ocellaris clown in a mayonnaise jar for many months, along with a few mushrooms and LR. he said he changed the water weekly or bi-weekly with no urgency, and the fish never got ill or stopped eating pellets.

I think the survival of the system would be based on water change frequency strictly but hey this was 7 years ago so maybe its been duplicated by others too. someones bound to flame up any minute L) The tolerance of the fish is a great factor, this is not to negate the system just thinking about the internal dynamics.

the striped damsel was really annoying the inhabitants of my FO tank including picking on my blue throat trigger (which was about 3 times the size of the damsel). So, i put him in an old pickle jar with the intentions of bringing him to the fish store....Anyway, it was a monday and on the way to work to drop off the fish ...i discovered the store was closed. I brought the fish to work...where he now has resided for the last 3 months on my desk. I change his water with water from my reef tank ...which i bring to my office in...you guessed it...another pickle jar...maybe i should put a small frag of live rock in with him....that isnt a joke !

How about aeration? I was also thinkin of using heat tape like I use for my reptiles under my collection of jars. Oh man! the possibilities! I am puttin a plan together now for several Jars. I feel like a kid collectin grasshoppers in a field . My mother reminds me of my live butterfly collection that I had inside my house. .I used our screen door. I just caught the butterflies and let them go in the house. They would hang out on the screen doors. Real cool. Then my dad reminded me of my live Bee Collection that I had in my Red Wagon..............I would just place cover in it and collect the bees. Just placed the bees in the wagon and they would not leave me......I would freak the neighbors out well pullin my Wagon around the neighborhood. LOL..Ok I got off track ehhhh! Sorry. I am pickin my wildlife out now for the jars. and Proud

I am inspector 12 :D . Okay, actually number 9. I work in quality control in a precision machine shop. Most of what we make here is medical, a good portion of whats left is aerospace (mostly jet engine parts, fuel nozzles, etc). I never really thought about it until earlier this evening, but it is kind of ironic that most of our business helps to save lives, while a good portion of it helps to take them (military jets). Kinda wierd.

Ok .Ok I will try to be serious for a moment. I am a Psychiatric Nurse. I worked at a State Hospital for 23 years. I worked with patients with many different diagnosis....................From the Criminally Insane to the Dual Diagnosis(deaf.......crazy and reatarded). I even learned sign language. My favorite "Tour of Duty" was counseling Addicts and Hookers. Now that was real fun! and Proud
