25 gal with 20 lbs live rock and 40 lbs of live sand. The lights are JBJ, one 10k and the other actinic. Skimmer, uv sterilizer, canister filters. I do admit that I have more fish than one would recommend. But thats what the uv sterilizer is for. The weird thing that is suction-cupped on the front is a moon light.

what does a uv sterilizer to for having too many fish?i mean i could see running it for a little bit, but once the organisms are dead, they are dead. i think thats just going to hurt more than help, or so ive heard.

if you should have anything with an overloaded tank itd be extra LR/LS and a good skimmer

You've heard wrong. It takes care of algae and bacterial blooms. Next person that tells me a uv sterilizer is BAD for a reef tank I am going to ***** slap them. For my tank my uv has done tremendously well. Oh yeah next time you post 'peej' learn how to type and use grammar. Its not hard.

Iomega,

hello friend. You shouldnt be so mean to people on here. He was just stating an opinion and we all make grammer errors from time to time. This is an awesome forum and I wouldnt want to scare people away. Just an observation and opinion.

Thanks,
-puff

To say the LEAST. Iomegas, if you're going to crack on someone for their spelling and grammar, be absolutely certain that yours is beyond reproach. ;)

Also, saying you're going to bitchslap someone ain't exactly what we'd call friendly, not around any parts. As a matter of fact, I'm going to say that I disagree with your perceived and practical/intended usage of your UV. Then again, who am I? (You just don't know, do ya?) :D

I'm suprised no one mentioned the Hippo tang should be in a larger tank

or that a background would really enhance the look of the tank.

(I didn't even mention the uv sterilizer)

Sorry about the ***** slap crack. Its just that alot of people tell me that a uv sterilzer is bad in a reef tank. I've had mine in for a year and a half and my tank is doing alot better than when it was without one. BTW I do have a background, I just took it off because the damn flash of the camera kept reflecting off it. The tang is tiny, he has a while to grow.
