So there you have it! I have found an effect from the Eco-Aqualizer, but I'm pretty sure that 1) it's not an effect you want, and 2) it would be easier and cheaper to obtain with a battery.

Matt found the the EA seems to put some stray voltage into the water. My quote about it 'CAN'T do anything' was referring to the claims the people selling the EA make about it, not extra stuff that the unit does that the people selling the device aren't aware of. Sorry for the confusion.

I submit that it CANNOT do what they say it does.

I for one have never read a scientific article that says "Blank can't happen". I'd like an example of what you're suggesting...

...bob goemens from fama liked it but i am not really too impressed with him anyway as he seems too keen to jump on the latest "better mouse trap".

Sam Gamble is the inventor of the Eco-Aqualizer. He co-wrote a small book with Bob Goemans several years ago about sand bed aquariums, and I believe acted as Bob's scientific consultant on the plenum methodology.

sure i will take one later tonight. i have it inline after the uv and before the chiller. the skimmer still isn't skimming like it used to. the fish look fine, the corals......... i don't know how to put it but they just don't look as vibrant as they usually do....if it keeps up i probably won't keep it on for a month, my corals are my treasure, as you guys have seen by the many pics i have taken and shared with you....not really worried yet but lets just say...... i am watching my tank every minute i can. strange about the skimmer, it's a berlin and it has always kicked ass, it just is not skimming like i am used to :? . the clams seem to be open more than usual.i will keep you guys posted, but if the corals don't perk up soon, the e-a is coming off.

ok here goes, the skimmer picked up again today, and the green star opened back up today.... the e-a says it kills algae but i am still wiping it off of the glass as much as ever , about 4 times a week, its not bad but still, that is not an improvement. the tank is very clear but then again it always is so to my eye it's no clearer after the e-a than before. the hippo tang had a few spots of ich this morning but she gets that every now and then, i did not treat with any medication and she is clear tonight. so far, i can't see any real improvement in the tank, but nothing bad either as the skimmer is back to normal now. stay tuned for stupid pet tricks. now take us to commercial paul. as a change of pace here is a pic of my 25 gal fresh eclipse.
