I have never seen a substrate free tank that I liked, until now, awesome lawn you have growing there, it should look even better in another 6 months to a year, beautiful tank, and I too would like to see some recent full shots

I suppose a photographic update may be in order. I'll try to shot some pictures in the next few days.

tnduck, there are many pictures of my fishroom under construction and under operation on the first few pages of this thread. I don't have any layout drawings or anything like that. Just the pictures that are already posted.

Okay, you photo junkies. I took some quick shots today so I could give you'se guys a fix. The pictures are nothing special, but they show the general look and growth of my corals.

Don't expect another update for at least 6 months as I am not interested in showing every quarter inch of growth. The tank will need to look noticeably different before I update again (unlike Len, who wants his tank to look totally different before his next update :P)

Enjoy!

Absolutely phenominal. Have you had any issue with your tusk? And is that an atlantic blue tang? If so would you recommend it to others?

No. He may have eaten some snails, but I've never seen him do anything at all to them.

I did have a cleaner shrimp. Saw the cleaner shrimp cleaning the tusk once a couple of days after the tusk was introduced. The shrimp suddenly disappeared a week or so later. I suspect the tusk ate him. I do still have a blood shrimp.

I decided that the tusk was work the risk of loosing my shrimp and snails. I like him a lot.

Yes and yes. Wonderful tang. Similar disposition as a purple tang. Needs a good size tank though (as do all tangs). He was fairly belligerent in my 75G, but is relatively peaceful in my 300G.

That is really looking nice Louey. I wish you lived closer so I could shop in your tank.

Groovy deal.

At first I thought all those little green things on the bottom were bubble corals, then you showed a close up picture of a pocillopora dam. how the heck did you get that many? Did they just keep multiplying on you? Or did you frag up a bunch of buds and wait for the best?

They multiplied all by themselves. Check out this thread.
