I had customer taking down a tank bring me this clownfish. As far as I can tell, it is a false perc with no body stripes at all. Has anyone seen one like this?

It looks like a color morph of the clown goby (gobiodon sp.) than a clownfish.

If you don't see any visible scales on the body, it's definitely a goby.

I just got off the phone with ORA (clownfish breeder in Ft. Pierce, FL). They call this a "naked" clownfish, but haven't seen many/any this "naked". They might want it. I'll post here with any updates.

Could it just be a freak clown? one with inccomplete strips that wasn't culled out during breeding?

It's a flippin' clownfish that stressed out so bad it's stripes fell off.

You should stop sucking on your sand cuke you are obviously hallucinating.

Goby.

Now I can officially say I saw nudity on reefs.org heh

Matt I can tottaly see the resembles of the Goby and that red X.. Good comparison mate good comparison.

Goby is what popped into my head as soon as I saw it as well. Look at the head Looks more blunt than a clownfish. I vote for a color morph of a goby, but I have been wrong in the past

Doh! Damn RC. It looked like a Sohal tang to me :P But I fixed it.

It is definitely a clownfish. But it's certainly not idiotic to think it could be a clown goby at first glance.
