it sucks doesnt it..i find myself taking the rock out every week or so and plucking the nasty HA off the rock..its all over...

You both could always wait it out. Sell all your coral and essentially cook the rock right where it is. You could turn off/lower/raise your heater or chiller depending on which you use. Just skim like crazy, do your water changes, and make sure you have flow over the bottom.
