I'm extremely happy with the size, shape and weight and hitchhikers on the rock. It is just expensive at around $7/lb including shipping.

The Gulf rock from either liverocks or Tampa Bay Saltwater has more corals and such; the Keys rock has more coraline. Some great colors!
Unfortunately, right now Gulf rock is not available. The area is having a severe outbreak of red tide--an algae bloom in the Gulf of Mexico that pretty much kills everything. Most of the guys' aquaculture farms have either been wiped out or in dire straits. Who knows when Gulf rock will be ok.
The Keys rock seems somewhat lighter. It's a little more expensive, but has some really beautiful coraline on it. Eventually we'll have enough.
Either source is great. As I've been told that Pacific LR is going up even more--most stores here in SW Florida are close to $10/lb, so the future for us cheapskates is in home-grown.

ps--if you make the trip to Triton Marine, go a couple more miles to the sponge docks. The gyros are worth the whole trip! (Mmmm, gyros.)
