Finally got my Mysid shrimp (about 100 of them). Cute little devils, should be a good food source for my fish, corals, etc. How exciting!

fyrefish,
I ordered from Reed Mariculture about 1 1/2 yrs ago and I have tons of mysids in my tank. Enough so that if I when I want to introduce them into a new or different tank all I have to do is move one rock. I was very pleased and you will be too.

Pictures Sally, I need pictures :D

They are very tough little boogers to get a picture of with a crappy camera! I hope this is a good enough image (probably not! :? )

I ordered many mysids when I began breeding cuttlefish. I was ordering 1000 at a time. The ones from Reed were superior quality from those of Sachs. Sachs does priority mail which can take three days, Reed does overnight so perhaps that is the difference I saw. I would lose 50% from Sachs within a day, and almost none from Reed. :D

I am not sure, but at least 90% of the shrimp were still alive and kickin'. I also ordered some amphipods that were 90% still alive. After acclimation and 1 hr of dripping. I put everything in my refugium and they seemed to be fine. I also found out that my Firefish LOVES to eat them!

Did it have "Kordon Breathable Bag" written in blue ink all over it? Did it feel weird, like rubber, rather then smooth crinkly plastic?
