IMO, saracasm doesn't ever really work online.
For it to work in the real world, people need to have an agreed-upon baseline viewpoint. These don't exist online.
Again in IMO, sarcasm on discussion boards just leads to endless eddies of confusion, misinterpretation and acceleration of flaming. If you don't beleieve me, just take a look at the sump. :lol:
