Tank looks good! Quick question, have you ever used a commercial type silicone to glue overflow/fix leak ect??? I heard a story of someone that built a tank using a commercial type clear silicone from home-depot. These silicones contain arsenic to inhibit mold growth if used in showers/sinks. Fish never survived in the tank and the theory was the arsenic from the silicone bled in to the water. Who knows for sure??

No silicone used.

No snapping in the tank.

No new LR lately. The one chromis lives for some reason (which is good) but I don't know why I have not have the same luck with other fish.

Can someone give me a list of hearty fish besides damsels? I am going to do a 50% water change and then wait 2 weeks then try another fish.

Dont be to hard on yourself I have gone through at least 8 royal Grammas over the last two years. They are hard to keep alive and I know I have 4 perc clowns and 3 yellow seba clowns and 2 black saddleback clowns with 5 different damsels and a yellow tang and a orchid dottyback and a pigmy angel in my 56 Gallon community tank.I have a lot of live rock you might want to add some more but I think the fish is hard to keep alive.

I would like to get some fish in the tank.

In the past few months I have purchased the following to have them die in a week or less.

2 false percs
2 chromis
1 Royal Gamma

I am looking for something that is not as "fragile" as those fish. Any ideas?

wow umm...Im kind of disturbed reading the mortality rates on some peoples threads. My tank is 3 months old and I have a miniatus grouper, 2 false perculas, bicolor blenny, lawnmower blenny and a blue damsel. I havent had one single mortality and thats counting the corals. What exactly are your aclimation procedures and feeding procedures? Also I noticed all of your coralline algae appears bleached. Is your alkalinity perhaps too high? I keep mine way under 11.

Most cardinals, but particularly Pyjama or Orbic cardinals.
Comets (don't mix with shrimp or tiny fish)
Dominos (not the best choice for their attitude)

Those are pretty high on the "indestructible" list. As long as they're eating, they tend to survive just about anything. Including tank wipe outs that kill everything else.
