I need purple also.

Mushrooms. They will eventually take over though. Mine went from 1 (1 year ago) to 3 (3 months ago) to 18 (this month.) 8O

No mushrooms shall ever be in this tank as long as I own it.

Garf Purple Bonsai is a great tri-color acro. Fairly decent grower too.

Tyree Purple Monster is beautiful, but it a very slow grower.

The other purple coral that I have is a Lokani. Seems to grow okay is way cool.

A. Nana's are available in purple and are cheap. But they are not near as pretty as the three mentioned above.

Great looking frag.
The big thing really is compatibility. Those LPS can be nasty, even when small. Also keep in mind the different feeding requirements for both types.

Do you have the three mentioned above? I need picture since I am not good at the "offical" names. I have a purple and gree hammer so I have a little purple already.

Found a picture of my purple monster.

The color is a little washed out in this photo. It's pretty high in the tank and tough to photgraph.

I couldn't find a picture of my Lokani, but here's a picture of Tyree's Lokani. It's called the 20,000 leagues under the sea.

From what I have seen, all Lokani's are quite beautiful. I don't think it's all that important to get Tyree's version.

I got my Lokani from Maximus.

Drs F&S claim it to be a fast grower, which would be unusual for a porites IME. That aside it looks quite nice.

There is also alot of purple tri colors such as the validia. They are pretty as well.

My porites although green, grows quite quickly. I am a bit surprised at the spread of it.
