I wouldn't think so. So long as it is dying slowly anyways.

Mine is growing too fast. It loves thawed shrimp. Getting way too big to enjoy because you have to feed every head. Pain. Like bleedingthought said, they eating?

Brine has little nutrition value. Feed it anything but brine. I feed mine formula one, thawed white shrimp, and anything else when I'm feeding the tank.

They like meaty foods like Chubosco said, anything that is small enough to be "swallowed" by individual polyps. Are you seeing the coral uptake food Waymack? Those can only be fed if the polyps are fully extended.

Go to your local walmart or store and go to the seafood dept. I buy about 2 dollars worth of shrimp and scallops and blend it into a chunky mush. Then I freeze it and thaw little pieces of it in tank water and feed my tubastrea that. It loves it and is growing. It gets to be huge at night. It was given up for dead when I got it for free.

Thaw it in some Selcon mixed with water before you feed if you really want results. I swear by that stuff for tubastrea sp. feeding, they seem to like the additional nutrition.

:D I love that stuff, it's as close to a "miracle additive" as I've ever seen.

what is selcon?

A food additive that I have found to be just great. I have used it for years in homemade coral food and used it to pre-soak processed food. Basically it's fish fat and vitamin B and C.

Aquarium food booster that features highly unsaturated OMEGA 3 fatty acids, Marine Lipids (200 mg/g), Stabilized Vitamin C (200 mg) and Vitamin B12 Cyanocobalamin (240 mcg). Soak any freeze-dried, frozen food or dried food to give it additional nutritional value or use directly in the tank to benefit filter-feeding invertebrates. Boosts the nutritional value of live brine shrimp. American Marine Selcon does not alter water chemistry and it does not contain Yeast, Phosphates or Nitrates. It also helps cure Head and Lateral Line Erosion / Disease. 60mL.
