where are you located? i would like some of your corals, or frags even. it's a shame...i feel bad every time i hear someone wanting to get out, but not bad enough not to capitalize on the event if possible 8)

I'm in Coralville! (its a real town)
Actually, I now live 5 miles outside of coralville, in Iowa City, Iowa.

Why not downsize instead of completely leave? Maybe a 33 cube like CJ?

Because I don't want a tank
The size of my tank doesn't cause me any problem. The difference in maintainence between a large tank and a small tank is really minimal, and in a lot of ways I think large tanks are easier.
I want to be free of this albatross around my neck (anyone know where that expression came from? wierd)

It's a beautiful tank - shame to see it come down, but I definitely understand where you're coming from.

For me I think most of the stress with past tanks has been when keeping the finicky/delicate stuff. I'm finding lately I have a new found appreciation for FOWLR and softie tanks! :wink:

The phrase alludes to Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” in which a sailor who shoots a friendly albatross is forced to wear its carcass around his neck as punishment.
