Just wanted to share. I have had two Fire Shrimp purchased months apart from each other for about one year. Although they always "got along" I never realized that they paired up. Last week I saw a collection of orange eggs on the underside of one of them. Last night while viewing the tank with the moon lights on I observed the shrimp go towards the surface of the water on a piece of tonga branch. It proceeded to flutter its pleopods and releas a couple hundred live baby shrimp (would they be called fry?). The tank is not set up to rear the young and do not expect them to survive. I think they may have had a chance at survival if they cling onto any surface but instead they just flow with the current and expect them all to be filtered.
