Any experience or comments on the 48" corallife aqualight pro? I'm thinking of removing my pendants and actinic strip and replacing it with this single piece. It would be an an equal exchange with respect to wattage but just one sleek system. I could even keep one of the pendants to supplement. Any thoughts appreciated.

I had/have the 2x150 and I love it/ It's wide so supplementation with a pendant would be tough.

i have 4 feet of space on top of the tank (it is underneath a staircase) . I could place the corallife 10" over the water's surface and hang a 250 watt pendant flush to the bottom of the staircase landing. It would also give plenty of light to the plants. I know i haven't posted new pix in a while, but if you look at my gallery you can get an idea. Thanks for the input.

Front to back it is a little more than a foot as well that's what I was referring to. I think 15" but I am not sure.

If you have converted your hex tank into refugium, I would use side lighting and sell the pendant away. The hex tank is pretty tall and even though you get good light from the pendant but only the top will get the light and the bottom macro will not. Withe the pendant in place, I am sure they macro will cover the whole top in no time.

The Corallife Pro looks like a decent light.
I have the Corallife Aqualight Elite. The same wattage but w/o the lunar lights. I picked mine up from Drs. F&S on sale for $639. The Elite is 6" high and weighs a ton. I've already broken 3-4 support legs. I'm going to have to hang it from the ceiling due to its weight. The Pro model, I believe is slimmer and weighs less.
Overall I don't think that Corallife makes the best product but they have an excellent support staff. Good Luck.
