The Ordeal ended at 4 pm on the same day! Thanks to the golden hands of the Con Edison guys (and it was such heat, they worked outside in heavy suits...going in those round holes on the street...)
So it was only 7 hours of struggling! The nunnies did not discover the secret cord! And I doubt the fishies even felt it - the weak current of electricity helped , and the ice I floated helped, too.
