I wanted to know what you guys use to clean the outside of your glass, I know that using Windex is not a good thing.

I use rodi water & paper towels, but tap water is fine too.

It might sound dumb,:duh: but why can't you use windex if you spray on paper towel using only on outside of tank?????

Ditto for the past 30+ years, now I switched to
"Hope's Perfect Glass" 100% Streak-Free Glass Cleaner Wipes!

SIReefer, because some people are not careful to keep the over spray out of their tank, and end up poisoning their live stock!!:Yikes:

Thanks Awilda, I'll keep on using my windex although since my tank is next to the laundry room I have used the RO w/not 2 dirty clothes method.......

Definately spray water on the glass and wipe it with crumbled newspaper. Nothing worked better for me, works better than windex too

and then you have to clean your finger tips after the use of the newspaper :biggrin:

Like mentioned before use the windex but just dont spray it on the tank directly as some might just drop in your tank causing problems. Happy reefkeeping and glass cleaning

true...but after cleaning with the windex you definitely need to wash your hand:biggrin: happy reefing.

I think even Randy Holmes Farley said windex is fine to use with caution. Even if some get's in, it's pretty much just ammonia and not enough to be a problem...Let me see if i can dig up the old RC thread.
