At least you caught it quickly.

I tried a flame angel once. I friend of mine had one in his reef and his was a model citizen. Mine bit everything. And I do mean everything. He bit corals, rock, sand, power-heads, glass. He nipped constantly. And it took me a month to catch him. Bastard.

I had flames and coral beauty's before with out an issues. This pissed me off. Amazing what you can do with a wide mouth jar, mysis shrimp and a little patients. I baited the jar, laid it on its side and waited with a net. When the fish swam in I netted the opening. "Only" took 45 minutes for the fish to get brave enough to go after the bait in the jar. I got two new fish and a clam today. Since I just cleaned the tank I am going to take a few pics.

I have decided on getting a pair of clowns. Either Ocellaris or Perculas. No anemone this time but I am going to get branching hammer, frogspawn and torch to see if they will host in one of them. I have seen clowns host in hammer and frogspawn before.

Just need a few more free swimmers. Have been considering 3 or 4 lyretail anthias with one being a male. Not sure if my tank is large enough.

Run of the mill, or designer clowns?

Regular ones.

Good call.

I've always had a clownfish in all of my tanks. They're great fish. I could pick most of them up with my hand if I were so inclined. So docile.

I have a Mocha Clown(had an orange nose when I bought him now he's solid black) that nips at my arm anytime I'm in the tank.

Thoughts on the lyretail anathis? If those are going to be to big I might opt for the yellow head chromis. They are cheap but kind of cool looking.

Lyretail's are cool. I had a school of them in my 300g. When my female died, mix got to watch one of the males turn into a female. He changed for orange to pink, got much bigger, and grew the long fins. It's was cool to see.

Mine was fine. He turned into a big female and ruled the harem. It was peaceful.

I think you got it backwards. The males pink and the females are orange.

You're right. Hello that was 6-7 years ago, so my memory has faded. The experience was still cool.

Divers Den says lyre tails are best housed in a 125G tank.

You might want to research that more.

I saw that too. I read some where you could keep 1 in a 75.
