Grab them while you can. Beach is full of them
Yea man south side, beach was empty, all to your self.South side of the island? I was at Oak beach friday, 6/19 and didn't notice too much activity. The seine catch was very light. Lots of hair algae, clogging up the net, very little macro algae, not too much pod/shrimp activity to report.
Heading there SundayI was seining at Oak beach, July forth, plenty of pea sized Atlantic sharp nose puffers, and grape size burr fish. Caught a few 2 inch sennet, and 2 inch corronet, trumpet fish. Aside from those 2, no other tropical species yet.
I have a container, net, shake them from the sea weed into the container. BOOMThis is pretty cool! How do you guys go about catching them? Equipment? Specific area/layout of the collection area? (e.g. tide pools, rocks)
Strange , I’m a Nassau resident , and I only paid $10 and got in,Nitecrawler, the local parking lot is closed, you'll have to walk from the main Oak Beach lot, about 15 minutes.
