tunze 6025 clip cheezy!

today i went to do a small adjustment to the angle of the 6025 pump and the whole thing came off the magnet! dam..:frown:
this is the C clip that holds the powerhear/pump to the magnet....those 4 little brittle hooks are like potato chips....
anyone had this happen....? :banghead:
im gonna call tunze tomorrow and see if i can get a replacement for free

It happen to mine I just glue it back...and keep in mind the c-clip break easy too. shoot Roger a email will replace it.

Yep. Too cheap.
Mine actually broke at the C-clip while I was adjusting the pump.

Roger did send me a replacement.

I have broke two of them, and Roger replaced both. Apparently this is a problem that allot of people are experiencing. Great customer service, but this seems to be a product that has had its share of difficulties.

that sucks....thier product has a cheezy clip....they shouldnt charge us for replacing it....
...i like the nanostreams more than the koralias(aesthetics wise) but the koralias push alot stronger....

I have 4 of them, broke 1 already. When I got the others I automatically glued it into place.

shoot...if i knew my $90 pump had cheezy parts i would have glue'd it too.....right now the clip is glue'd back on with superglue.....but im just hoping it wont fall off when im not home

be really careful when moving them around we're talking about the "c" broken (the part that holds the ball)not the 4 little lin legs.

I broke 2 also. I remain completely unimpressed with these pumps.

i am on my third clip as well...Roger replaced them free both times and said the new ones have beefier clips.

so far on my one nanostream 6045 i have been through two clips, two props, and i am on my second motor. At least Roger is cool about sending u the replacement parts for free.

I think that these little pumps have great potential, they just where not ready for prime time. Version 2.0 should be much better.

The new ones use a different plastic.

Matt, the newer ones are version 2.0. The prop magnet have an extra SS washer and the C clip is made from a different polymer. Roger sent me a free new prop and C clip when I called him about it.

I also got a new free C clip from Rodger but I'm still inclined to give the Nano streams a thumbs down. I keep this powerhead in my sump cause I currently am housing some fish and shut it down for feeding once a day. 9 out of 10 times, it will not start back up without knocking the powerhead around a bit.
Nothing compared to the full sized streams IMO.

I broke both mine on a pair of 6045's. I then siliconed them and haven't had a problem since/

just got an email from roger at tunze....no hesitation in sending me replacements......but ill need to wait a few weeks for the updated version.....sounds fair enough....

I too broke both of my C clips on my 6055s. Roger mentions the new version coming out but he sent me the old version I believe for now.
