Red Carpet Anenome from Fish Town

Today I shopped at Fish Town USA, I saw a rare florecent red carpet anemome priced at $299.99, it's huge (one feet dia.). The last time I saw it was in NERAC Conference at Atlantis, 1/4 of the size, but double the price, couple people shared and propagated by cutting into pieces (I don't know if any of them survived). I will participate if more than 3 people want to share and "really" know how to propagate it.

The store also had lots of fish and corals in stock with good prices today. Medium size yellow tang $21.99, 3 for $60.-, over 100 in one tank, amazing view, and they don't fight.

I badly need some cleaning crew for my newly completely 700G system in office, and bought a few of $99.99 "Algae packs" from store in time. Each pack include balanced red leg hermit, green leg hermit, nassarius snail, small black turbo snail, mexican turbo snail, and emerald crab. Prices possibly can beat mail orders, and you are sure all alive.

It's a little far from eastern Long Island, but worthwhile the trip this weekend at least.

The store is very close to where I live, and I have not spent too much time to shop around. During a regular auditing from my wife, she found I spend over $10,000.- in FT this year.

Sorry I was completely not aware so many controversies about this store before I opened a thread to share what I saw in the store yesterday with fellow members.

I mean if you're spending $10,000 ($833 a month, $192 a week) on this place, I'm surprised they didn't give you a reserved parking spot. But a lot of us here aren't fans of Fish Town - from the way they run their business to their treatment of customers.

Even if they sold the red carpet for $1, I would never set foot in the place again. We have some really great vendors on this website that could help you with your 700g system. Anyhoots, you'll see what I'm talking about at the swap.

I am a vendor myself and thus not appropriate for myself to talk about another vendor but when FT try to sell my friend 100 butterfly fish without telling what it means to keep 100 butterfly fish in one tank, I cannot be too silent. I have been very silent about how FT has treated me (before I become a tank builder.) The way they continue to conduct the business is very sad.

well would love to see more picture's of your tank, never been to FT and don't care to. too many people that are real reefer's from here would never go so that's good enough for me to not waste a trip :wink1: each to their own.
