yeah someone took one apart on RC. It's literally a piece of PVC pipe w/ magnets taped to the outside of it.

I'm sure it does but you only see it if you look though a microscope... I guess not really sure...

The ionic breeze works by apparently removing I think negative ions from the surrounding air. I think its bull. Apparently, it seems thats how this device works. But I think in our tanks we are dealing more with protein compounds than ions. Especially when a good portion of us use RO/DI devices which deionize the water already. So in my opinion that is product basically reminds me of a seen on tv ad in which the product is supposed to be the greatest thing to mankind but infact the dumbest thing ever conceived.

i've used it for a few months, but the cleanings got more n more frequent until i got more n more lazy. well, u know the rest...
i suppose it cleans the air since the filters turns black.

i used to work at sharper image in high school, and we would all get headaches from the ionic breezes always being on and the ozone around them. they do a decent job of freshening, but i could never live with the 03 smell.
