Anyone use these?

I use one. Pretty much a turkey baster that I use to spot feed and blow off rocks. Got the idea from Denis over at Underwater Creations.

OK I bought some acrylic tubing today and I will order some of the rubber bulbs. If you like I will send them out for what they cost me for the materials.
I hope I am not stuck with $100.00 worth of bulbs. :dead1:

Marrone, I brought home the acrylic tubing yesterday and today i will order a case of rubber bulbs. I will sell them in the For sale forum. They will be about $10.00 each.
The problem with these is that the bulbs are manufactured mostly for laboratories and medical use so they are not too cheap. I hope to have a dozen or so in a week.
I will even make a new one for myself. Mine is about 15 years old and is used a few times a day. I hope they still make the bulbs as well.

I will take two also, great tool. How are you planning on handling money and pick up?

There are 12 in a case, I am just making sure the bore size (or hole) is adaquate.
If they work out I should have them in a week or two.
If all works out I will get boxes from the Post Office and ship them priority mail. I always do that because they give you the box for free and the shipping with the box is less than $4.00.
I will let you know when I get them. Then I would just have to know how long everyone would like the acrylic tube and I would have to bend them.
It's no problem. Of course I don't want to make thousands of these but I don't see that happening.

hello - can I pls. also have one? I am currently using a turkey
baster for sucking out the air bubbles that form at my hang-on
overflow siphon. It doesn't work 100% because the opening is a
bit too big (usually I have to try 10 times until it gets out
all air). Looks like yours would be smaller and could work
better. (so far didn't want to change my overflow yet - I know
there are ones with a small pump that would prevent the air to
get in...) Anyways, would be so happy if you had one for me too!

I have two companies sending me samples by tomorrow. I can get all I want with a 1/4" opening but I need 3/8" which seems to be a problem. The one I use used to come with an electric hammer and they don'y come with one anymore so I have to get it from medical suppliers. I am working on them. I have all the acrylic tubes.

I can make them up to 6 feet long but I would imagine it would be a bit unwildly.
I am still working on the rubber bulbs. I can get all kinds but need a certain one.
