Best Build Tanks.

Anybody can give some suggestions on ordering tanks? Oceanic tanks or custom made ones. Any known companies that will stand behind their tanks incase of leakage? I've found Glasscages.com are they any good?

Think oceanic is lifetime guarantee for anything that was a defect of manufacturing, and is void if any holes are drilled (i think) or there are chips in the glass. Check out their website, it tells you their warranty and what coverage each tank line has.

Glasscages has the same guarantee, 90 days for any leaks caused to silicone failure. also void with improper installation and/or chips.

I think both companies just warranty the tank, they don't cover livestock/water damage.

I think the only company who is insured for their installations is NY aquarium or something like that-the one who built Duvet Lounge. http://www.duvetny.com/

My company offers warranty for our tanks even when holes are drilled by us at order time.

I deffinently would not by an oceanic tank again, unless you are going to build a stand yourself. I have a tech 120 and the stand almost collapsed on me. It got a little wet, but nothing drastic. I sent them pictures and they said they don't warranty their stands, it was 2 weeks old. POS in my opinion. Luckily a LFS called In Living Color in NJ was able to get a new stand through their supplier at no cost to me. I did not even purchase the tank from them. Tank is great, their stands blow.

I have heard/read mixed reviews of Glasscages. The only place that locally makes custom tanks that I'm aware of is Beital's in Pearl River, NY. I can't comment on quality, customer service, etc. but I did see one about 10'Lx4'Hx2'W being built and it looked fantastic.

Well, since that he is local and he does warranties his tanks, I'm keeping him in mind when I finally finish my basement and put a 150-175g tank down there. (P.s. once that happens, you won't see me upstairs ever again..)

World Class Aquarium on Flatbush and 1000 Island Aquarium on Utica build tanks.

If you are looking for a simple tank with overflows just buy Aquaon (All-Glass) at Petland. I've recently looked into custom build glass tanks and the prices vary widely. I don't understand how one place could quote 600 and another 2800 for the same tank.
