not another species - just a hybrid, like a liger or a mule. I guess I am more of a purist ( flamesuit on ) but am curious as to what the offspring will be like. What will you do with them though once they are grown? If you plan on releasing them to other hobbyists, thats where I can see a problem starting.

For the sake of understanding the issues, What kind of problems do you forsee ?

Hybrids occur in the wild, and some command good prices. eg. Amphiprion leucokranos, the White-Bonnet Anemonefish. (A non-species cross between A. chrysopterus and A. sandaracinos).


There are already ocellaris/perc hybrids and other hybrids being sold on the web.

So I think this can provide some good discussion on captive raised hybrids.
