Skimmer Upgrade?

I have an AquaC Urchin under my 90g. I was thinking of getting a remora to beef up the skimming. But I've been told I should upgrade to a bigger/better skimmer instead of having 2 skimmers. The thing is I might be limited with space. What are your thoughts on this? 2 skimmers or go for a big one?

How much space you have in the cabinet area? Those AquaC skimmers, even combined, are inadequate for your 90G.

Looks like the clearing height is very limited. If you're running internal look into ATI BM160/200 or Tunze 9010, or you can run an external recirc skimmer outside the cabinet.

Thanks Lubu. With the space i have (7.5x13.5) it seems that the ATI BM160 is my only option. Are there any other skimmers in the similar size range that I can compare against?

Can you give me the skinny on what is involved with an external skimmer? I'd imagine an in-sump pump carrying tubing to the skimmer and the skimmer has a return tubing back to the return compartment in the sump? I dread having many tube running in my sump.

Look into Bubble Magus BM100 as well, it has a 6.7" x 10.6" x 21.6 foot print which may fit into your sump. Plus they are local and you can P/U in brooklyn.
