And yes, I would someday like to do something better than my ghetto velcroed curtain. :)

3 Kids + small House = My Mess

WOW...Some Sweet setups here.. Makes me quite jealous ;)
I have 3 kids under 4 years old and live in a small CapeCode on LI. So, we are constantly dealing with clutter. I figured instead of cleaning the entire room and making it all Nice before taking my pictures, I would show you'all more of my reality :)

Here is my Living/TV room (in the process of folding laundy which is also an endless battle):

CLoseup of Tank (a bit of a sandstorm caused by my VERY active Diamond Gobie):

Metal TankStand with Ghetto Curtain made by my lovely wife :

20Gal Sump/fuge, HOB AquaC Remora Pro Skimmer (hidden), ATO

In the next year or so I will be moving my reef to my basement and upgrading my tank to at least a 90g

Thanks,
Rob

hey rob, thanks for sharing. don't be apologetic about the clutter.......you're keeping it real. and never for one minute think that in a bigger place, you won't have clutter.
i moved from a 1400 sf condo 'cause the wife said we didn't have enough room...into a 3000+ sf bi-level.....honey, we need another bedroom. after 2 years of weekly/monthly construction people in and out of the house doing this upgrading that, i couldn't imagine another year of doing an addition to the house. so off we go to a bigger place....5 bedrooms 3 stories center hall colonial with an add-on family room, a walk out basement and full storage attic.
guess what...... same formula..... 3 kids + big house = bigger mess.

be happy that your lovely wife MADE you the curtain. otherwise if you were to make one YOURSELF, it would get thrown out from the ghetto.... it would be homeless.....lol.
sorry for the teasing, my first tank didn't even have a stand. it sat on an off the street dresser with one missing drawer......it was thrown out of the ghetto......lol.

Wow, what great pics on this thread!

My 3 SW tanks are in my office in my basement since I spend SO much time there..

The door to my office..funny, nobody has ever suggested I take it down...hmmm...
IMG_7546.jpg

To the right of that door (still outside my office) is where I keep some of my supplies..and the top off for the 120 is in the bottom of that cabinet, and it's pumped through the wall to the sump under the tank
IMG_7544.jpg

(that bucket has live rock in it that has been curing for about...umm..2 years? lol..one of these days I'm going to do something with it...)

This is where I 'MR' from, oh yeah, and work from as well. Two feet away from my reef, who could ask for more? :)
IMG_7538.jpg

To my left is my 12g nano :)
IMG_7531.jpg

Behind where I sit (and directly opposite the 120) is my 33g cube, it's my anenome tank (my big RBTA split this week!!), but that A/C unit (R2D2 :)) is my favorite thing in there this time of year..it keeps me and all 3 tanks nice & cool..and runs 24/7 until Fall...
IMG_7532.jpg

..and for those of you who have inquired, yup, I still have him! He sits at a desk outside my office..lol
IMG_7547.jpg

I also have 2 FW tanks, a 55 in my dining room with angelfish in it and my old 75g SW (now a FW) in my bedroom with that houses my 9 year old Oscar (Felix) and 17" Gibbiceps pleco (Murray)...in addition to the Koi pond that I still have in the backyard...gotta post some pics of that one of these days...

Thanks for lookin' !!
