Yeah that is fine. As forfilter on that 45 i ran an ehiem cannister with just filter floss and chemi pure in it I also had a hang on the back refugium. This tank is no longer up. I transfored over to a 75gl with a 30gl sump.

is a 46 bow goood enoungh to start a salt water tank.And what kind of fliter can i use

i have a 46 bow with fresh water fish.I'm thinking about useing that tank for salt water.
