i like your tank in the wall ! it compliments the room perfectly ,but we all know that EVERY room needs a tank in it ! it seems that some people dont get it like we do . im trying to make a tank in my car,i know what your gonna say but it will be a one nighter only just to mess with my friends ! they are opening a fish store in two weeks and im building a plexiglass tank to glue to my side window in my minivan . its 4inches x 3foot x 16 inches tall . i've allready aquascaped the back and im only gonna put either a $1500.00 jap dragon eel or be conservitive and put 3 or 4 wrasses in it . think the wrasses are the better route but that eel would BLOW them away ! what do you think ?
yes i will post pictures for all to see in a couple of weeks ,happy motoring !

awesome set up! yea no cleaning will be required im just doing this for a few hours.little concerned about heating but i found some 12v heat pads that are 75 watts so im gonna affix it to the bottom of the tank .run air stone near top vent and use a 12vpower head it wont be running but a few hours ! trying to figure if i want to put $1500 worth of livestock or $200 worth ,the jap dragon eel would raise a few eyebrows though , it would be cool . i'll leave that decision for the last minute ,oh yea i'll drive really

slow .still trying to figure out lighting . we'll make it happen

frank arriaga is that a drain from your display into your utility tub? Nice work on that one. Talk about easy water changes if it is.

New 225g REEF Build

I bought a new 225g tank last March and been really taking my time to set it up correctly, reading , joined two forums the reef tank and manhattan reefs. I do have to Admit that I like this board much better though. Ok I decided to put the tank in our family room ( used to be a porch of the back of the house) Because this room faces the pool area and the back wall faces the kitchen. So I first set the tank up against the back wall of the family room, cut out the behind wall so you can see the tank from the kitchen, And also when you first walk into the home. Ok here is where it gets crazy. I first didnt know any better so I was putting the equipment in the cabinet under the tank. Then I was thinking do I want all that stuff in my family room? No so what I did was dig out under this room by hand and construct a mini basement for the fish tank equipment. The room is 12x12 with an 8'ceiling , hot&cold water, slop sink, heat with seperate t-stat, Fuly lighted with two circuts of electrical outlets, a exhaust fan, Now all my wet stuff is in this room, and Is really kind of cool. I bought a custom sump form Life Reef along with a 36" skimmer. 57w UV Light, 3 filter canisters, next reef phosphate reactor, seperate pumps for each piece of equipment, two 55g rubber made water storage with seperate pump for water changes only, Im sure its getting boring so I will get some picts up as soon as I can to show you all my insanity, plus any comments would be apprecated since Im a novice.

you should get rid of that blue linka, looks horrible in your tank. you know my kid liked it so much I'll make the sacrifice and put that horrid thing in my tank, only to appease the kid.
