i wouldn't worry to much, my temp probe failed once(always happens when i'm away for a weekend) and my chiller ran non stop, i came home and found my tank at 68 degrees, most corals were stressed but after a few days they recovered.

They dont sell phosban reactors for my tank I dont think. I have a 29 gallon bio cube its all under a compact hood. So its really hard to fit anything under that hood. I have a heater and a protion skimmer and that takes up all the room in the back chamber.

Yea I had to resort to a mesh bag on my second chamber with my 12g nano cube. That's one of the cons in those setup is what you see is what you get...unless you decide to drill a hole in the back down to a sump...etc. etc. etc. I'm even thinking of taking out my stock canopy and switching to T5's or maybe MH...with probably a fan built into it.

I have thought about putting T5s on also but the reason for my buying this setup is because I love the compact look. I like the idea that everything is under one hood. I just hope I can work things out.

thanks everyone

I have been checking my water like crazy I couldnt even sleep last night. Im all upset over this. It took me so long to get the tank the way I wanted it and now it looks like its all over.

My ammonia seems to be a little high.
My phosphates are at 0.5
Nitrates are at 20
nitrites are at 0
ph is at 7.8

I have a 29 gallon bio cube and I did about a 7 gallon water change.

Jaynie, what is your ammonia reading? Was it at this level prior to adding the wrong temp water?
When was the last time you did a water change?

Hey Kathy my ammonia reading was in the greenish color on my chart. I dont have the chart in front of me right this second I am at work and will not be home til midnight. Im using the API water test kit for Ammonia. The color should be yellow according to the chart.
The last water change I did was about 4 to 6 days ago. I always do them almost every Friday or Sunday. Im not sure what my reading was before I did the water change on the Ammonia. I do know that my nitrates were at about 60 to 100 thats why I did a 7 gallon water change last night. I noticed my Kenya trees where looking a little sick so I checked out my nitrates right away. Also before my water change some of my corals looked a little stressed as well.
I guess this Hobby just isnt for me :( I guess its time to bail out. :(

On the API kits, a zero ammonia reading is more like a mustard color and every other reading on that card is green...

Do you want to give me a call and we can talk about some steps that might be helpful for you? We don't want to lose you!!
I may be out your way on Saturday, perhaps we can get together for a bit ?

I'll PM you my number :)

IMO Since something died I think 6 or 7 should be good again. Since the Anemone died, it probably excreted alot of toxins in the tank...Then I would do another 7 in two days. That's if I were you. But don't make it a shock to your livestock...have the right temp and salinity before you decide to dump the water in...what do you say Kathy...sound about right?

I'm on the side of more than 7..currently Jaynie has 9 g made now and is in the process of making 5 more that may not be ready until morning. She will also be changing the carbon when she gets home shortly :)
