It looks like a closed Yellow polyp or protopalythoa. I find both of those floating freely around my tank until they find somewhere to reattach. But as always: When in doubt....take it out!

Never saw one up close like that.:dead1:


I have a few. I was scared when I first saw it. They never leave far from the holes in the rock, though.
Looks like an elephant trunk when they sift the sand from the rock.
