Sump Help-Anyone near Bethpage, LI want to make $50 quick?

Is there a good link that will detail all the different vinyl or pvc components that I'll need to do the job?

Well the damage is done insofar as what I spent is concerned...now I just want to get this right.

is it 1" if its 3/4" go with 3/4" parts:
(figure out if that plastic drain piece in the sump will fit 1" vinyl tubing.)

2. get 1" vinyl tubing from bulkhead to sump connect it to the plastic piece and get a plastic clamp

as far as the filter sock:

i would say a very easy DIY would be to replace that filterpad and black container with a piece of cut to size egg crate. Cut the center out of the egg crate as to rest a filtersock with its rim hanging above the egg crate.


possibly cut the center of the vinyl tubing and put a bulk head in the middle in case.

+1 get the skimmer out of there if you could if you cant get the box I forget what they call it that is made for the remora it gets rid of the micro bubbles I use it on my kid's tank
