Figured I post here since I usually get amazing info fast. I also put in an email to Vortech so will see what they say but wanted your opinions also.


New MP10 on my JBJ Nano 28 gallon. Placed it on with the little rubber piece and was working great. Suddenly the night mode stopped working so just kept it on regular reef mode 24 hour/day and will stop working out of nowhere and blink red. Reset it and nothing helps. Checked that its aligned and tried messing with settings but still FLASHING RED

any thoughts, ideas?

I had the same problem it usually overheats, Did u make sure your pinspacer was align according to your glass???? That was my problem I was using my MP40 with out the pin spacer and the magnet was rubbing agaisnt the rubber creating heat causing it to over heat and shut down.

If you are receiving a flashing red on your driver , while in Reef Crest Mode on your MP10.
Perform the Pump Disconnect Calibration listed on page 4 of your manual.

Follow the instructions, step by step. When you perform step 3, and the driver begins flashing yellow/white, Remove the power supply from the mp10's driver.

This will reset your pump and should eliminate this error msg you are receiving.
If you continue to experience problems with your driver after the calibration has successfully been run, contact EcoTech Marine Service at 610-954-8480 ext 106.

I just had them send me a new wetside to my mp20 that didnt act right after I broke it down to clean it then after reassembly wouldnt spin freely.

If none of what others have said works for you- call their customer service number-- 1-800-785-0338 ext.3 Theyll ask you for the serial number thats on the controller on a clear sticker, then will send you a new wetside and send it to you free of charge as well as an envelope that they ask you sot send back a couple of parts from the defective one. If you dont send it to them in a timely manner they will charge you for a replacement fee- for the 20 is 75 bucks- not sure about the 10. But theyre great and they answer everytime.
