Wow. Every swap just gets better and better! Once again, I am blown away by the hard work involved in pulling off an event like this. What a great job the organizers do, time and again, putting this event together!
First I want to thank Josh for giving us this chance to get together and have fun- you are a visionary, without you none of this would happen! ( And by the way- I am convinced that Slamma fragged your little toes off of each foot and that's where the twins came from- they look exactly like the father colony!!!)
Everything from the lectures to the food to the raffle, the auction, the demo's, the donation bin...flawless execution and deceptively simple looking! What a great job!!(Yes Kathy, coordinator extraordinaire!!!)
The venders with their AMAZING selection of coral and fish...the new LED's that I just know EVERYONE wants...and, of course, the donations made by those vendors to help keep MR going-you guys are awesome, man, keep up the good work!!!
It is also really cool to see how many people volunteer their time to help out- kudos to those that gave their time, hard work, and muscle to help the cause!!
The swaps feel so much more like a family reunion than anything else. The sense of community is overwhelming- we are all on equal ground sharing our love of this hobby, regardless of wealth, color, age, etc. If only the whole world was like this...
What a great opportunity to get together with old friends and make new ones, and to eat some of the best homemade cookies EVER(ahem Pico Dee
) As exciting as it is to get home and get those shiny new things into the tank, take a minute to think about all of the hard work and energy that goes into making this happen, and enjoy the chance to get together with a bunch of happy, like-minded people. THIS is what makes MR stand head and shoulders above ANY other reef site!!!
See you all at the next one!!
