Today I just got my New Skimmer! Its a SWC Extreme 180 Cone!
Question, for all SWC skimmer cone owners. Where should the water level be up to? I'm thinking the water level should be about the neck area just before the waste cup! Appreciate your input.....thanks.

the water in my sump in thee skimmer section is about 8"s. The water level within the skimmer where the bubble pops is at the neck you were describing.

I am loving mine. Mine looks just a little different than yours. I have a little less distance between the neck of the cone and the bottom of the collection cup. anyone know if there is a difference?

BTW, I have fine bubbles in that space between the neck of the cone and the bottom of the collection cup.

is the skimmer loud. im getting back into the hobby need a new skimmer want a good skimmer but it must me silent
Silent and deadly! No BS!! I'm already liking this skimmer, nearly a week and it was time to clean the waste cap. The previous was a BK mini 180 and it was every 2-3 days too much work.
Ihave had the BK, AT200, Vertex, Aqua C, ASM and others...and I found a skimmer and great price!

need a skimmer balanced for your system and reqirements to make most out of the skimmer, ive had a few skimmers too big for my system and they would kick butt for a day then not pull anything then pull again
