Thanks for all of the info Nautilis!!

I've dropped our resident Chemistry guru Boomer a note and asked him to take a look at this thread when he signs on again and give us his opinions on why this seems to work and what, if any, other affects the addition of hydrogen peroxide has on our tanks :)

i use h2o2 on my zoa rocks and and lps when i buy them as a dip. No harm to the coral but chases every thing out. I know it will kill algae of all sorts, but i never heard of putting in my tank. you say you see no ill effect on SPS? i'm jumping on board and do a little more reading on this. I would love to see the before and after pics.
Sorry, just seems to good to be true.
And if it is true... where was this info a couple years ago.... H202 is a lot cheaper then gallon bottles of Mag

It has been used in ponds for years along with PP and other oxidizing agents to kill bacteria and dissolve waste and even to kill algae. Even with the large volume of water in the pond you can burn the Koi's gills if you overdose and I think it is far from being harmless. I am alway amazed at how fast people will pour stuff in their tank. JMO

I have amped the 4th day dosage on my main frag tank. My main frag tank is rated 130g wih approx quarter of it with live rock, sump 35g with 3 inch sand bed and half filled with water, RDSB 35g with 6 inches of sand. I did approximate my net water volume to about 150g. I initially dose 13mL with good result, so I put 15mL today expecting an excellent result within 2 days. If not, then I have to increase further the dosage with additional 2 mL ( I might miscalculating my total/net water volume). I'm just itching to eradicate all algea on my tank. My crab, snails, yellow Tang and hated Damsel says "hi" to everybody.:bablefish. I have prepared my Microscope to do an autopsy if just in case any of my fish dies. I will pay attention to those gills!

You've got the wrong code.

Don't use codes, that doesn't work here (?)
Use
instead.
Sample: (I used your first image as an example)
*

and when you're posting this, ignore the asterisk "*".

I'll post all the images for you:

THESE IMAGES ARE ALL nautilus's IMAGES on his 2nd post back.

Thanks SaltyFlip for posting my pics the right way. That's just partial. Kinda try to upload later..might need your help again. lol.
On my 2nd day of 15mL dose, up by 2mL of first 3 days, my animals still eats like pig and swimming like Michael Phelps. Bryopsis' ramuli (Ultimate branches) almost gone but the Axes (main stalk) still hanging in there. I will complete 3 days of 15mL then will increase again by 2mL if Axes still exists.

No problem, I'll be following this thread anyway lol.
Hey nautilus, do you have a variety of corals in your treated tank? SPS, LPS, Shrooms, Polyps, Gorgonia, Zoas, Palys, etc.? I'd like to know if there are any noticeable affects on them. Keep up those updates :D

Everything you have listed except for gorgonia. I have dripped, for a try, on a flesh of mini colony of bubble Gum Monster to no ill effects. I have even dipped, as a prophylactic, my newly arrived SPS ( including my sought after Rommel's Watermelon). I saw pods and critters bubble up and corals produced slimy coat and tossed it to tank after 3 mins. Again, slimy coat protects those mentioned corals. Polyps may retract for a while but will come back after few minutes.
I did crazier thing on 3rd day on my shallow frag tank ( where my high end chalices and Z's and P's located) I turned off the return pump fo the whole night just to maximize effect of H2O2, no ill effect, not so sure if it made big difference with curing. I'd like to dose that frag tank at night mode when some Z & P polyps are closed for obvious reason...but of course chalices tentacles are well extended that time...experiments..

In short, it will work, but one needs to be careful. The issue is knowing what you are doing. You can raise the O2 up way to high with H2O2 and the ORP and both should be monitored. Excessive use can also lower the pH. What it is doing to Bryo, is what it will do to any organism, causing burring via oxidation. Different life forms have different levels of what they can handle and Bryo's can not handle much. This is not something to just jump into. And NO it is not going to be safe for all by a long shot. There are many different species of corals and inverts that my just die during this procedure. Anyone follwing this procedure is on their own. I do not want to be saying "see I told you there may be some very bad side effects" :)

I dosed for 4 days and then noticed my tank was way cloudy one mornibg. I got scared and stopped dosing. Im thinkin it was a type of bacterial bloom but Im not sure. Came home that night and everything was fine. I did notice a decrease in the algae in my tank. My water was crystal clear. Im just afraid of the long term effects and I'd rather figure out the reasons I got the algae in the first place and fix them instead of dosing regularly. I def will be using H2O2 as a dip for frag plugs and such. It works great at getting rid of GHA. I do 600ml of tank water and 60ml of H2O2 and leave the frag in for 10 mins. Works great and no harmful effects to the coral on the plug. Ive done it with rics, zoos, palys and a big chunk of gsp, so far.
