My 28 gal. Manor tank is loaded with aptasia. Is it safe to take the rock out, place it in tap water, dry the rock out and place it back in the tank to get rid of this pest..

get some caribean peppermint shrimps i had about adozen aptasias and they eat all of them

I lost count after 100 they just keep on multiplying .. I've used aptasia x, Joe's juice and I'm IP for more suggestions ..

as long as they are not too big they should eat them.
u also have to worry about aptasia in your sand bed and in ur overflows/sump...taking all the rock out and leaving it in fresh water will kill the aptasia along with everything else in the rock. also your going to disturb the balance in your tank. i have an account where i took 3/4s of the rock out and put it in fresh water with a pump circulating the water for a couple of days and treated the rest of the rock in the tank with a syringe mixed with kalk and water and peppermint shrimp. then added the rest of the rock a little at a time after the aptasia was gone in the tank. be carful not to introduce to much kalk into your tank at once it will spike the PH and bleach out corals. good luck
